The perfect whistlestop tour!

We had half a day in Bucharest and this was the perfect way to see the city. Alex our tour guide spoke great English, had heaps of historical/political/anecdotal knowledge which made it really interesting, informative & fun. The bikes were well maintained and it was fine for basic level of skill, as he kept to major bike routes and rode at a slow pace.  A great way to introduce you to the city!

I booked the trip well before my visit to Bucharest and took advantage of 20% discount for this and the 2 hour bike Our guide Alex was excellent. Picked us up from the hotel as it was pouring with rain. A nice comfortable car with plenty of room and DVDs to watch en route, Alex even treated as to water and a chocolate bar at a petrol stop. None of the stops felt rushed and learnt so much about Romanian history during the day, Alex is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Romania past and present. The tour can be adapted to suit which was another plus. I would highly recommend this trip if you are in Bucharest, such a great day.

So good we did it again

We did the Bucharest Highlights (2.5hrs) on day 1 of our trip and we were so impressed we booked onto the Communist tour (4hrs) the next day. Bike The City were flexible in accommodating our delay and planning our second trip around our timetable. The bikes were new and all good quality. Our guide Alex had excellent knowledge, clearly knowing his city and much more about the economic and cultural context. Alex adapted the tour to our interests and answered questions on a wide range of topics. As you can hopefully tell we highly recommend this.
